Blue Morning. Because Blue shouldn’t be reserved for Mondays in any case.

frustrated apple

So after a rant to myself about being suspended from my Linkedin account because my “usage” was suspicious, and then several attempts at appeasing their computer security overlord with pictures of my ID, I now have access.

To 4 notifications, none directed at me, or involved me, or brought any benefit whatsoever.

Someone playing the algorithm and somehow linking their post to Donald Trump (<– See, like how I’m doing here) to attract that keyword, another ensuring he ticked the box of commenting on someone’s post but making sure it doesn’t look generic and like he just pressed the button that auto replies.

Stress, anxiety, frustration that I experienced this morning ruminating on the thoughts in my head about what this all meant. I took a step to change my profile from my company name, to my name. The person. The one trying to hide his presence from the world out there.

Inside is safe.
Inside the house, inside my head, inside myself.

Not for some morbid or sad traumatic reason, albeit present, but because it makes complete sense that the happiness, financial freedom and purpose we strive to attain can only ever be achieved inside ones self.

But no, you -need- to do what everyone else is doing to make you successful. You need to 10 EX your productivity or 10 EX your follower count all while saying “10 EX”….like that’s a thing. It has always been “10X” and then said as “10 times”. To that i say pfffft. I went from 0 customers to 5 customers never touching social media.

Word of mouth.

It has always and will forever be the best way of growing. Social media has become a place where opportunities – go to first – to look for the person visible at that time, when some new viral thing is discovered or for that hire they need to fill.

So you -need- to show up everyday, commenting and posting a certain amount of times waiting for that opportunity to find YOU this time. Seriously.

So the wife and I asked each other the question several times, every time we started posting regularly in fact. What would you do if one day you post something, and the next morning you wake up and your phone has thousands of notifications because ping! ping! ping! You are viral!!!

…or your debits came off all at once and you weren’t prepared. Hmm, that notification icon we chase is RED. Our phones don’t notify us, it warns us! Dude, someone’s messaging you again. The game you are playing needs you to login quick, for a reward. But oh yes, back to the question. What would I do?

I have a meeting in 2 minutes so I will think about it. dot dot dot.
